Cherrybank Dental Spa wins customer service award

This year’s Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Star awards ceremony was held at Crieff Hydro Hotel, hosted by Radio Tay’s Gary Robinson and Maureen Young with entertainment by Scotland’s top classical trio the R3 Tenors.

Having not entered for a number of years we were delighted to win the coveted Customer Service Award.

Here’s an exert from our entry.

Being customer focused is the absolute core of our business. The vision of business founder, Dr. Elaine Halley, is that Cherrybank Dental Spa should set itself apart by providing dentistry in a different way.

Prior to 1995, traditional dental practices were poor in considering the patient (customer) as the central focus for the business. Dr. Halley recognised that many patients are nervous or at least anxious about dental treatment, and so she set out to create an environment that was as comfortable and unlike a traditional dentists as possible. During study in the States in the late ‘90s, the concept of the Dental Spa was born – which encompasses the ethos of making every step of the customer visit to the premises feel more akin to a spa or a five star hotel than a dentist.

Cherrybank Dental Spa was the first practice in the UK to embrace this concept, and Dr. Halley and her team have written articles and lectured throughout the UK to teach these concepts to other dental teams. The entire team invest heavily on an annual basis in postgraduate education to ensure that the services offered are the most current and they utilise all the latest knowledge and technology.

This is then coupled with fanatical attention to the ‘patient journey’ so that every step of the customer experience has been carefully considered. In this economic climate, the consumer has a choice about where to spend their ‘dentistry’ pounds – and Cherrybank Dental Spa has continued to attract new patients who value this customer-focused approach to their dental healthcare.
