Cherrybank Dental Spa help form Invisalign Network Scotland

By Phil / April 10th, 2015

Scotland was recently identified as a country falling behind with regards to teeth straightening and use of Invisalign.

To help rectify this, Align Technologies enlisted the help of Cherrybank Dental Spa to help set up the Invisalign Network: Scotland to grow awareness of the treatment.

We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of the dental industry, and, as Dr. Elaine Halley is the most experienced dentist using this treatment in Scotland, we were more than happy to help introduce Invislaign to a wider audience.

What is the Invisalign Network: Scotland?

Invisalign Network: Scotland gives dental practitioners located across the country the opportunity to offer the Invisalign treatment to their patients, once they have received special training and are proficient in the necessary technical requirements.

This is an amazing opportunity that will benefit Scotland greatly as Invisalign’s connection with digital dentistry make it one of the most advanced and minimally invasive methods of orthodontic treatment available.

There are already an estimated 2.5 million patients worldwide, including celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber.

Why is the Invisalign Network: Scotland Important?

The network offers a unique and fantastic opportunity for Scotland to offer an enhanced level of orthodontic treatments to patients across the country.

The sophisticated system has been in research and development for many years and it is hoped that introducing this treatment to more people will have a positive effect on Scotland’s smiles.

From adults to teens, we find that more and more patients are asking us specifically for Invisalign; our eldest patient was 83 years old!

The fact that there is nothing in the palate means that adult patients have no problem talking and carrying out their day-to-day lives, be it in business or at home. The retainers are also removed when eating which helps with being able to clean unlike the difficulties of fixed braces.

Advances in Technology

The computer aided design and manufacture of the clear aligner product means that we have full control over how the teeth are moved, and we can predict the end-result for the patients before treatment begins.

The computer design or CLINCHECK means that we can also work as part of a treatment plan with dental implants, porcelain veneers or bonding and whitening, although often Invisalign stands alone as all a patient requires to improve their smile.
