Went to Cherrybank Edinburgh dental spa after a recommendation from a friend. I booked in for a facial skin treatment as my skin felt dull and tired and what a result! My skin was needing a boost and after trying so many facials and scrubs before, this really made a big difference after just 1 appointment. The treatment was a ‘skin peel’ but chemical free, this is more of a medical facial. Skin felt soft, radiant and noticeably different the day after... booked in for another already!!

I cannot speak highly enough of my time spent at Cherrybank Edinburgh today. Not only was the result of my teeth whitening fantastic, but everyone from reception where Susan took such good care of me to Elaine who got me comfortable in the dental room, to Dr Gill Pozzi, were simply wonderful. At last after many years on disappointing botox treatment to my frown lines, I have just had the best result ever. Miranda Philip at Cherrybank Dental Spa you are a star. Miranda took the time to explain all about the muscles of the face (something never explained to me before) and together we decided the best treatment for me. The reason for me not getting good results in the past was that I have very strong frown muscles. Treating this area alone was not enough, I was needing the muscles on my forehead treated at the same time. Bingo!!

My experience with Cherrybank  Dentists in Edinburgh has been very good. The clinic is comfortable and the staff are all very nice. I wore an Inman Aligner for approx 3 months, followed by one "Invisalign" clear brace for 1 month. I am happy with the results and would recommend the appliances as the time passed by quickly. The Inman Aligner made it difficult to talk, but it was only for a short period and it was removable, so it was worth it.

Having had botox treatments in Edinburgh purchased through Groupon in the past, I have often been disappointed by the service. This certainly was not the case at Cherrybank. It's the best thing I have ever done!
I was very nervous at first because you hear about so many stories about things going wrong with fillers and botox.
I came along to the Edinburgh dental spa with a friend who was also having treatment done. Meeting Miranda she put us both at ease, by explaining the botox procedure and it was virtually painless and done in minutes. I can't tell you how happy I am and what a confidence boost it has given me sorting out those little tweaks as you get older (I'm 45). She and the staff were very professional and the clinic itself very warm and inviting.

Susan on Reception is always delightfully welcoming and, at my first meeting with Elaine Ross, Treatment Co-ordinator, I was made to feel completely at ease. Elaine prepared a detailed proposal of the treatment I needed, with various financial options offered and everything explained. I now realise that Elaine gave me the confidence to go ahead with the treatment.

I cannot praise Dr. Ollerhead enough for what he has done for me. My treatment needs demanded a whole range of his skills and, at times, some very customised variations. He was always ready to answer any questions I had and inspired confidence at every stage. Laura, his assistant, is skilled, charming and nothing is too much trouble for her in the care of the patient. My thanks also go to the other assistants, Emma, Jenny and Caitlin.

I must mention Eilish, Dental Hygienist, who has also been treating me over the last five months. Like all the Cherrybank staff, she excels at what she does and is thoroughly charming with it.

My Cherrybank experience has been 100% positive in every area, with my dental needs, clinical and cosmetic, fully met. I plan to continue as a patient.

Just before I left the UK my friend and Scottish uber-agent Douglas Gillespie told me about a very different kind of dental practice he’s discovered.  First off if you’re anything like me you treat going to the dentist with a mix of dread and annoyance.  Douglas was telling me about this amazing Dental surgery (they actually call it a Dental Spa) in Perth & Edinburgh called Cherrybank.  Here are a couple of things that make it very cool:

• You are offered a foot massage while you wait.
• They offer warm neck pillows for you to rest your head against and warm hand mittens, both of which are scented with lavender to ensure your comfort and set your mind at ease. The scent will soothe your senses, relaxing you before and during your appointment.
• All patients also have a choice of ipods with BOSE headphones or amazing DVD goggles so that they can enjoy their favorite tv show, movies or music during treatment. They even offer anti-anxiety medication that you may take before your appointment if you are feeling any apprehension.
• Knowing that everyone hates the antiseptic smell associated with dental surgeries they bake fresh bread onsite every morning to fill the place with a welcoming aroma.

The media like to harp on about how Scotland has poor levels of service but I think Cherrybank just goes to show how you can make something ordinary quite extrordinary.  As soon as I return back to the UK I’ll be changing dentist to these guys.  Things like lavender and the smell of baking bread, comfortable furniture and neck pillows don’t cost the earth but transform the experience for the customer.  So if you live in Edinburgh or Perth check it out.

 I would like to thank all the staff at Cherrybank for all their help and support throughout my dental treatment! Going back to the dentist after 10 years was the hardest thing I have ever done, but from the moment I walked into Cherrybank I knew it was going to be a different experience! The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help me feel at ease. I had my first appointment with Jillian who very quickly made me feel relaxed and more confident about tackling my phobia of the dentist. Together we came up with a plan I felt I could manage, at a pace that was right for me. Jillian was always available for a chat whenever I needed her re-assurance, for which I can’t thank her enough. 

Although working through my treatment wasn’t easy, Elaine Halley always made sure I felt comfortable and in control. I have never come across a dentist quite so understanding, and whose kindness and confidence made my appointments so much easier to handle. 

Towards the end of my treatment, Elaine Halley suggested that I get composite veneers fitted in preparation for my wedding. I was very self conscious of how my front teeth looked, however by the time Elaine had worked her magic, they looked incredible. My big day went perfectly, and everyone commented on just how fantastic my smile was. Being able to smile on my wedding day was a dream come true, a wedding gift I will never forget. 

Although it was a very difficult decision to go back to the dentist, it was definitely the right one to make. Having had a true phobia of the dentist from past experiences, I would have no hesitation in recommending Cherrybank to anybody, especially those who have a true fear of dental treatment. 

There are some things in life money can’t buy, and having your confidence back is certainly one of them.

"When I first arrived at Cherrrybank dental spa I completed a Smile Evaluation form. In that form, I said I did not like the way my upper teeth looked.- This was because the bridge, crowns and teeth were all different colours. I also wrote I wasn't happy with the colour of my teeth. I could see they were a bit dark and yellowish. 

My above concerns have now all been addressed and rectified. My upper teeth, ie. bridge and crowns are now the same colour and brighter and whiter. 

Before I had the restorations, I did feel self conscious about smiling and didn't like my upper teeth in photographs, therefore I probably tended to avoid smiling. 

I feel much more confident about smiling now on a day to day basis and would happily smile for a photograph. I believe that being able to smile without concern about my teeth, affects the way I feel " inside" which means my smile can be spontaneous, natural and warm and without being aware of it, I probably smile oftener. 

How has this affected my life?-- I did this for me and as I've said, I believe being able to smile without thinking about it, makes me feel so much better on the inside, (on all sorts of levels). That said, I also believe, being able to smile confidently, almost certainly will affect, how people will perceive and remember me.

"A brilliant white smile! That’s what I’d always wanted. I used to compare my teeth with friends, colleagues, family, and, of course, the glamorous people in magazines. Wherever I looked, everyone seemed to have better looking teeth and a broader smile than me. "People used to laugh when I said one of the things I would most like to change about myself was my smile. Their response would be "There's nothing wrong with your teeth, they look fine!" Yes, fine to them perhaps, but I felt embarrassed. I used to try and smile with my mouth closed, as there was no point in smiling with my mouth open, as you did not really see my teeth. There was nothing physically wrong with them, apart from them being very worn, which made them very short and all the same length, making me look 10 years older than I really was. I could have taken something homeopathic or something prescriptive. The preparation work was totally painless. I felt very relaxed. A reassuring hand from Dr Halley on my shoulder every now and then did the trick. My temporary crowns looked fantastic. I could hardly believe they were not the real things. I received comments from friends about how wonderful I looked. When I added that these were the temporaries and that the permanents would look even better, they could not believe it.
