Simroid - The Dental Treatment Simulator

robot patientOne of the staff members at Nippon Dental University Hospital demonstrates a lifelike, humanoid robot dental treatment simulator called "Simroid" at the world famous International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo on November 9th, 2011.

 

This prototype robot was created by the Japanese venture Kokoro, is made primarily for dental students.

 

It has various sensors in its mouth that trigger the sound "Ouch" whenever the dentist gives the wrong treatment.
